Acrylic Cages?

I was wondering if anyone has one and if they are any good. I was thinking about getting one, only becasue my macaw likes to throw his food from his bowl onto the floor outside his cage, He can make a huge mess- including doing his duty . But it seems more like a prison in there. So any ideas?

Not a big fan myself .. they lack ventilation and you can't interact with your fid while they are in a cage like that ... ya know, you walk by, give a scritch through the bars on the cage ... Not a big fan personally ...

You can buy a peice of acrylic or heavy duty plastic from a hardware store and put behind the feeders so it acts as a food guard....

That's what I was thinking- no ventilaion- and you can't interact as much. That's a good idea- to just buy some and make a little barrier- wider then waht comes with the cage. I think hey would be hard to clean too. Think I'll stay away from them. He needs a new cage, but I'll look around. Thanks
