Alexandrine and Rainbow Lorikeet?

They're both belong to the more aggressive specie so no they won't get along with each other. They may tolerate each other, but I would be very careful with your Lory! My Lory WILL attack a bird 5 times his size, it may seem cute at first how they're checking each other out, if both out at the same time and flighted, you better watch out cause a war would be breaking out soon....This is the main reason why my Lory is NOT allowed to be out when other birds are out and about.

My alexandrine, Max, is very laid back... He retreats, rather than attack... I have him out with my eclectus and my young conures.... He is not afraid of socialising with the other birds, but if they start looking like they're going to attack him, he backs off quickly, saying: 'byebye, byebye'...

lene, it's not the Alex that's gonna be doing the attack, it's the Lory....When I first read about them doing so and even watched some videos of them attacking. But Malachai was such a sweet baby towards us. But then one day my ekkies escaped their cage while I was feeding everyone cause I left their feed door open. They crawled out and Malachai came out of his cage too jumping around acting all curious and all. Then bam, he flew on top of the ekkie and started attacking right in front of me, I intervened and my poor ekkie flew into my chest shaking like a leaf while I use the other hand to grab Malachai and place him back into his cage. He wanted more as he was trying to fly on me for round 2. So the stories I've heard and read, also from what Lory breeder told me, and videos I've watched have proven to be quite true....

I restrained myself.
The Mrs has however agreed that when we buy our house shortly, there will be provisions made for an aviary in the outdoor area.
More accurately, the outdoor family area will be enclosed with either netting or wire and shadecloth so we can sit out there with our birds.
Moving to Queensland so we'll be able to grow pomegranates, passion fruit and other fruits there for the birds to pick on.

I was just replying to this sentence:
