we have one bout year and bit old we noticed that some of his feathers are dull is this molting?

Probably. Our Maxi-Max gets really rough looking just before his molt...and during. But he looks amazing afterward.

My Alexandrine is about the same age, born January 2010. His wings still look a bit rough and fluffy, so hopefully he will go through his big transformation molt soon.
