So the lady at the LBS mentioned that we can get liquid aloe axtract and do a 50/50 mix in a bottle for daily mistings. Just wanted to know if anyone else did this and if it did in fact help with there fid feathers and if it helped keep the down, down.

Unless I had a bird that was really plucking I would never put anything on them but clean filtered water and I would even think long and hard if I had one that was plucking.

I only use aloe on one of my six birds, and only when her plucking escalates to a point where she needs aloe for her skin. Aloe makes the feathers oily and it can make your bird over preen.

Plain water baths are the best option for healthy birds, IMO.
 
Thanks for the fast replies. Now I don't have to run out and and waste money.
