It is 6:30 in the morning where I live. I quietly made coffee and I am hiding in the front living room (birds are in the family room in the back), so I can enjoy my coffee and iPad time without birds biting my iPad cover, haha.

Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
My morning coffee time is spent with my red lored amazon.

She likes quiet one on one time too.

I sort of have to enjoy morning coffee time without my ekkie. He doesn't get to bed until 11pm, so when I'm up at 6:30am he's still trying to get his beauty sleep and refuses to be bothered.

My morning routine is uncover the birds, bring the food and water dishes in to wash, start my coffee, prep their food, sneak food into the cages and run away with my coffee while they're distracted by food!

I've got the SPCA on speed dial. LOL.

It's funny. I cannot have my morning juice without Skittles bugging me for some. I can't tell you how many times I've been drinking some and he'll pull it down and force his head between me and the cup. LOL.

Skittles doesn't get any of my coffee. I keep it in a steel mug with a cover. LOL. The last thing a sun conure needs is caffeine. LOL.

It was an anomaly this morning being able to relax and have my coffee in peace. I had to not put the lid on my travel mug because they are used to the sound of the button I press to open up the lid and would have started squawking to be uncovered and let out. My kid had day off school and I had day off work so didn't have the usual routine of making breakfast and lunch for her and the fids first thing.

Mine all go BONKERS for juice. Sydney's favorite is cranberry, he'll take the cup away from me completely. Orange juice too. I try to just give them a tiny bit of the no sugar added in a little tiny cup just to satisfy their obsession!

LOL, oh how they associate certain words with certain things. LOL.

Skittles knows the sound of juice shaking, microwave beeping and especially the bathroom fan. I find it funny with the fan. As soon as he hears it, he flies onto the shower rod and stays there - even if I leave the room. It's like he 'knows' to stay and keep a look out for Norman Bates.

@Aquila That's what I do too. I buy the Tropicana Farmstand. He likes the Peach-Mango and the Tropical Green. The latter doesn't look to appetizing but it is REALLY good. Has a pineapple taste to it. They are both rich in Vitamin A and are all natural.

I've posted this before but placing this here seems quite a propos given your comment.

I'm having sinus issues and went for peppermint tea instead of coffee today. Kyo was happy that I finally shared a little bit of the forbidden hot liquid that I never let her indulge in :p she loved it.

I have travel mugs for coffee, because she is a royal pain about trying to get it.
