Boo sat mesmerized the whole time Freddie was talking. He scooted as close to the laptop as he could get and just stared at it. Maybe they were bonded in a past life. LOL.

He really is coming along well.....
I get the urge to cuddle him, especially when I'm getting that Amazon smell...

He's actually a much kinder bird now, so I think cuddling may come. He loves his head scratches, I can rub his toes and beak, and he does seem to enjoy being touched much more than he did. He speaks often now in a gentle loving voice...When he goes to bed, he often says softly, almost a whisper...Freddie's a good bird! He has come a long way...

I'm hoping to get a video of him getting his scratches, and foot massages...but Hubby will have to do the camera work, and he's really bad at it!

Wow.. He is fantastic. I love Yellow Napes. He talks so clear and I love it when he mumbles.... he is so cute.

In fact the reason I am getting Abby is because my good friends house burned down a few weeks ago. When we arrived (he and I work together) his wife was upset of course but they said that Sugar did not make it.
Sugar is a 28 year old Yellow Nape that Janice hand raised from the time she was hatched. Well the fire started in the garage nest to the dining room where Sugar was. Rich and I went to get a closer look at what was left of their house and the Fire Chief said the Bird is on the back porch. I ask how bad was he burned or did he die from the smoke. The Chief.. said the bird is fine... WOW.. Sugar was alive... I took Sugar home with me for a month and she is fine... In the past 8 years Sugar has not let me pet her but now she nuzzles up to my hand and has not even snapped at me much less nipped me.
Well I have been wanting a parrot for years.. and having Sugar just reinforced that. So that is how I ended up with Abby.
