Jack- 5 year old pacific parrotlet
I just got Jack a spacious new cage, but it looks bare, and I was looking into putting safe plants and other natural décor to make it more enriching and like a zoo enclosure. Has anybody put bird safe plants in cages, or used artificial plants like the ones found in reptile enclosures? Here is a link to the cage:

I would not use artifical plants. Those would be an ingestion hazard.

Definitely use natural plants, not artificial.

Bird; Birds: Safe, Toxic Trees, Woods. Safe Tree Wood. Parrots. Parrot cages.

There's a list of safe trees for parrots. I've used this list to make perches before. They should note if the leaves or blooms or etc. Are toxic.

Be sure to collect from a spot without pesticides. So not in off the side of a highway or newr a garden. If there's woods near you it should be safe.

It should all be good so long as you don't collect toxic plants

I use what we call a fishtail palm in with my budgies. They love destroying it, I think they even eat some of the leaves. But they are cheap enough, $5 a pot, I can just replace the plant when it's look scroungy and been poo'd on a lot.
