No not drugs, parrots! I cant help my self I love buying things for my birds. I have a problem, I just want to keep every parrot I find. Just the other day I found a crow with a broken wing and was skinny but my mom said I couldn't take it home to nurse it back to health. In the past 3 months I have ordered 4 times from mysafebirdstore, once I get the order I have a need to order again. I'm only 15 but I have 5 parrots.
Anyone else have this problem?:p

Yes I certainly do!!! I am addicted for sure!!! I always wander on to the sites that have parrots for sale. My husband and kids tell me they are going to block those sites (LoL). I see all these beautiful parrots that need homes and are in bad situations and I just want to adopt them all!!! I wish I could save them all, I really do!!! But I know that is impossible. So now I am trying to stay off of those sites and just concentrate on the parrots I have. So I have been busy ordering more and more toys for them and fixing up their bird room. I love taking care of them and spoiling them!!! I love the fact that I have changed their lives and they have changed mine. That feeling is addicting!!

Hey there I'm also 15 and yes I'm addicted! The more the merryier! I have 6 finches, they're like potato chips, you can't have just one, I'm picking up another one today :D. I also have a patigonian conure on the way! The best part is, my parents wouldnt let me get any birds for almost 3 years but now I can finally have them. Im trying to breed my finches so I can have even more lol. About that crow, I would have wanted to take it too, but I think it will be ok. Crows are sooooo smart and I heard that when one is hurt, the others stay by it's side. Btw did you hand feed your conure babies?

Its an addiction you can't get rid of....I used to have a lot more then I do now breeding, but we're at 18 already....good thing I can say no now days....lol.....

Addicted ? Me ? Naaaa ! Ummm, yeah , big time !!
Someone once told me I was addicted to parakeets , lolol.
But I moved on to the hard stuff , lol.

Yeah , I'm a parrot druggie :/. And I'm needing another fix............

ann- yes I handfed the three younger ones I have now, Beebee, Scooter, and Rosey. I breed Sully and Bella and they gave me those three and the four I am handfeeding right now.
My parents dont let me go onto craigslist anymore because there are so many birdies needing homes. I almost got my parents to agree to letting me take the crow home but my dad said NO! When I move with my parents to arizona my mom said I might be able to run a foster home for parrots! I would love to do that because I would get to spoil all those needy parrots but then I would have to give them up, well some of them anyway.lol.:D

I'd be addicted if my budget allowed me to :o
Yeah there is always that money issue. Oh how the world would be if we all had unlimited money.

I'm addicted! I have a cockatoo one of the hardest and I still feel the craving to ad a few budgies and cockatiels to my family. With new better paying job maybe I can hehe.

I don't even have a parrot, but yes! I'm already addicted to buying things! Lmao. I spent $500 at the bird fair...... And, yes, you heard correctly... I don't even have a parrot yet.

Bahahahahah... Oops? ;)

Oh, and I definitely would have brought the crow home... Obviously it wasn't your fault that you couldn't, but I feel bad that your parents said no.. :(

When I was about 15, one summer, my friend and I were taking a walk. It had stormed the night before and on our walk we saw a nest on the ground, and around the nest was a dead mama bird and two dead baby birds. It was really sad. Then I noticed another baby bird and thought he was dead too, but I caught a glimpse of him breathing. I wrapped him up in my shirt and brought him home. He didn't have any feathers or anything. I made him a little nest and bought baby bird hand feeding formula. I fed him every two hours, and I know I made mistakes, but I did the best I could. As he got older, I noticed he couldn't perch. His leg was deformed from birth or from the fall. So, I called a rehabilitator when we had to go on vacation. She came and got him and was shocked that he was so well taken care of. I left for vacation and when I got back, we had a voicemail. It was a week later when we got back. She had called and told me that he had been doing great and was released and flew away. She went on to tell me what a great job I did taking care of him. His name was Spiderman and he was my little buddy for the short time I had him. I loved that little guy. :)

Honestly? I don't think anyone on this forum is not addicted to anything 'parrot'...

I have the same problem, but with Orchids, I have around 150 pcs and cant stop buying lol
