There have got to be some horror stories out there!!! There is no way I'm getting in that shower with Kiw, that's for sure!!!! :p

The shower is my favorite place to hang out with Kitty! I know that sounds very weird, but I love getting clean and she does too! She is always being so animated, and she gets so relaxed and closes her eyes loving the warmth. She is very well behaved, and I toss her out before I start using soap. I tried to see how my Nanday would tolerate this ritual I have with Kitty by taking him instead of her. He seemed very startled and clung to my head and took an exuberant shower form the top of my head. I had to get a towel and a mirror to get him unglued from my scalp because he was NOT letting go. I probably won't try that again this soon - he has a lot to adjust to with the move....I wouldn't shower with a stranger ;)

Our grey hates water, so he tolerates sitting on the perch and getting as little mist as possible. The lori takes a bath in her bath bowl and doesn't care for the shower. So when we got the cockatiel and i took her into the shower, i expected her to sit on the perch and watch, but no. She wanted in on the action and flew to my shoulder and started making her way across my neck. I didn't want her to slip so i put my back against the wall and it made a little pool of water in the middle of my back that she jumped right into and went splashing around until i managed to get a hold of her. Needless to say i had scratches all up and down my back. Glad it was a cockatiel!

My old lovebird used to love showers. That is, until she decided to hop on to my shoulder one day. She slipped, of course. And, of course, she grabbed on to the first thing she could grab on to. I'm sure all my fellow ladies can sympathize with me here. Holy OUCH.

So after that event, Pixel does not join me in the shower. She loves bathing and getting spray bathes... but I'm just not brave enough to shower with her and that beak of hers! Maybe some day... lol.

Luna loves it. One downfall though:

You know how birds try to pick scabs, moles, freckles, etc off that they dont feel like belongs? Yeah....my bird has discovered my nipple...(TMI I know...haha). She was chillin on my arm when I was brushing my teeth. She turned around and BAM...my poor nipple. Now she is confused as to what this thing on my boob is. >:( Dang her.
