Your only treatment is by taking him to a vet. Having mucus coming out of the nare is not a good thing. Please rush your macaw to a avian vet!!!

Yep, vet time. runny nares that have mucous is serious and can get worse quickly. The good news.is that a vet can usually treat easily.
