Yeah hi guys and gals,
I just wanted to know at what age will my bird get his eye ring?
I notice it lightening already but just wanted to know is there any particular age they get it?:green2:

I try to look it up and no place tells you at what age, it just says when they mature. Which they can grow until age of 2.

Yeah . Its doesn't say anywhere about what age . I tried to look it up as well before I posted on here.
You see my little fellow still has a small tinge off black on his upper beak.
thanks for trying though.:green2:

I was curious to know as well. I got my pair when they were older so I had no idea.... oh well....perhaps someone who raises them will see this and give us an answer.

I think Cosmo had all of his physical adult characterises at 12 months. Now he has his psychological ones, like going nutty every spring.

Yes mine starts to hump me....I stop him right away....

So many things to look forward to with Ekko...guess I better get him to mind me before the humping begins..lol.

Oliver is 15 months old--"fun" is just around the corner. I'm hoping what he doesn't know he won't miss. In other words I'd like to bypass his natural instincts. It's good to have wishful thinking...

Lol! Amen to that! I was lucky in that regard with my previous parrot, Suzie. (My dearly departed, but never forgotten, cockatiel.) Suzie saved all romantic gestures for the branch in his cage, thankfully sparing me! Here's hoping history repeats itself.

The following comes to mind.......:54:

I want I know that answer too anyone know what age?

It was mentioned that they have all the characteristics by 12 months old so I would guess around 6-9 months old?

Thanks I didn't see that part of the thread beautiful bird you have too!

Thank you!!!! She's rotten though......

Black melanistic lori or rosellas

OMG have you seen this bird???.....Melanistic Rosella.
I don't know the breeding process but I think they r Beautiful.
I want one!!!.... JavaScript Slideshow - TinySlideshow ...
I wish I could find out the cross breeding process.
I have read up as much as the internet has to offer but I think its a result of crossing a Eastern Rosella with a Crimson rosella at the very least. The first pic on this link is the best one.
If anyone knows the system of breeding these birds I would love some incite. I dare say it takes o few years of cross breeding/interbreeding this species.
Cheers:green2:
