My Macaw, who's 2 years old, loves to pick bite my hands and arms. He's mostly pinching my skin, and it's like a soft lunge at my flesh. I'd like to curb this behavior somehow. He'll usually do it if he's perched on my hand or arm as I shift my position.
He never breaks the skin and rarely bruises me. Any advice?

Sounds like he's not ready for the shift in position. Have you tried letting your macaw know first prior to shifting, so he can be better prepared for it and not get so spooked by the sudden movement???

Or maybe have him step off before moving?

I've tried slow shifts of my finger perch, but he'll still immediately beak my fingers.

I've read through the threads on bite pressure training, and have tried many of the techniques already. He's a tough one...but I'm tougher! :-)
