bed time chatter...

Buddy's a grumbler. LOL We love to listen to him. He does it when he takes a bath, too. And he has a wooby (his favorite toy that his previous owners said we could never ever ever take away from him because it's his best friend LOL) He will be the tar out of that thing and cuss it out twice a day. LOL It is HILARIOUS.

Boudreaux doesn't really grumble, but he'll whistle a few times like he's saying....ummmm helloooo???? I'm not ready for bed yet.....hellooo???? LOL

Crazy birds :D
I'm curious as to what kind of toy his wooby is. LOL Maybe we should all have one for our babies. I guess Forrests wooby would be his phone. He always sits by it when we are gone.

His wooby is pretty similar to this: Stick Staxs Bird Toy - Toys - Bird - PetSmart

Except his has natural color rope at the bottom and is fuller at the top. He absolutely ADORES this toy. Or he hates it. LOL We can't decide. :)

My GCC does that as well. His breeder mom says most parrots will do that bedtime chatter when they go to bed cause they are repeating the things they heard that day. Like her Grey will go through all of her sayings when it's time for bed and repeat anything new she heard. :D

Roxy will chatter not only at bedtime, but also in the morning while she is still covered or when she's in her own world on her stand (and I can't be lookin at her or she'll shut up lol) I'm really excited actually cause the only coherent thing she has been saying is "thank you", but now she also says "hey baby" and "whatcha doin/what you doin?" :D

These bedtime stories are so funny. Pritti doesn't do the talking thing. He used to start incessantly throwing kisses. Now he sometimes will start this high pitched humming that almost sounds like whining.

All my birdies make mumbly noises and ruffle feathers and grind beaks. It is my favorite time of day listening to them

It's definitely one of my favourite bonding moments, when I'm at the computer and I hear a 'pip pip' sound from the playstand at my right shoulder. I look across and there's a Birdy waving at me with his left footie, pleading for a cuddle!

If I ignore him, he will give up after 5 minutes and head over to his happy hut, where he will spend the next 10 to 15 minutes grumbling and squealing softly. I think he also purposely sticks his tail out of the back of the happy hut as far as possible just to let me know it's not as comfortable in there!

Alternatively, if I oblige and pick him to tuck him under my arm while I work, he'll grind his beak happily instead of grumbling. This time it only takes a minute before he's stopped and fallen asleep!
