we’ve narrowed down to Indian ring necks as our bird of choice. What are some of the best cages for them?

Hi there, and welcome. There are so many cages on the market that are great. Stainless steel cages, and aluminum are becoming more, and more popular. They are very expensive though. I would tell anyone to get the largest cage possible thats affordable, and if the place where you live can fit it. I hope this helps you.
