Hello all.

I am looking for the best seed mixture for my 3 month old tiel named Neville.

Right now he gets the sunburst conure mix which he seems to eat and enjoy, this was recommended by the lady where I purchased him from.

He also get a mix of rowdybush crumbles, he will eat them but they are not his favorite. I am open to other pellet options as well.

I want him to have the best combination of bot, so let me know what your tiels prefer.

He is also getting fresh fruits and veggies. He doesn't really eat them but we will keep trying.

I LOVE this bird food mix: http://www.thebestbirdfood.com/bird-elicious-origins-cockatiel

It's expensive but VERY high quality and 100% organic. A couple in Connecticut hand make the food and also sprout fresh seeds for the mixture right there and proceeds go towards running their bird rescue sanctuary.

I buy a bag from them every month on their auto ship program and then I buy any other cockatiel bird seed mixture from other companies (sometimes Sunburst, sometimes another brand) along with some Harrisons bird mash and Harrisons super mico pellets... I then mix all of it together.

Another alternative...

I often testify...
I believe in Harrison's, supplemented by fresh healthy treats. My first and current avian vet recommended it. My bird loves the pellets now, but to get him converted, my avian vet suggested putting pellets out all day, and putting seeds (his old diet) out for two 15-minute periods a day. That would sustain him but leave him hungry. He was eating pellets in a couple of days.
