i have own parrot's before but never a african grey can anyone give me information on one he is a very tame bird im told

Each and every bird is different, some are tamed others not

It all basically depends on the guardian, how much time you spend bonding and interacting with your bird.

Welcome to the forum. African Greys are awesome birds. I don't currently own one, but I did many yrs. ago when my Mom sent her Timneh to live with me. he was the most well adjusted friendly parrot I have ever had the pleasure to know.

I suggest you go to the species specific section for African Greys. You will find all kinds of great info there and many members more than happy to help you with your questions. Good luck with your new friend when you find him/her.
