Bird room lighting

Ok so I am wanting build a bird room and wanting to know if I should put in full spectrum lighting. Now the room is going to be in my basement, don't worry it is a finished basement that we spend a lot of time in. It is the place where we don't need to pick up all the time. But there is no natural light and that is why I was wondering about lighting. Thanks.

Please use the search function to search on full spectrum lighting as it's been discussed countless times. They don't do a single thing for your birds except to provide lighting. Best lighting source is natural sun light.

Lighting 'can' be a testy subject around here, jrerek.

Even though I do get natural sunlight in my birdroom, I still use the swag lights for my birds. On dim, gloomy days, it certainly brightens their moods (and mine, too).
