Hello! Ollie and I were wondering if any of you had ever been to or know of any bird shows or bird expos or even a large bird farm (not really sure if that's the term) I the NJ/NY or New England area. I've been dying to check one out! Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry that your Thread got missed.

Bird Shows and /or Bird Fairs have gotten far less common over the last ten years with a larger fall off in the last five years.

Since, they are presented by Bird Clubs, contacting them is the easiest way to get listings of what is happening in your area. You can complete an Internet search for Bird Clubs or also contact your CAV as they commonly are in contact with the Clubs.

Hope that is helps.

There is a bird and exotic pet expo scheduled for February (my birthday is also in Feb.) real close to me. Lancaster CA is just next door for me. Best birthday present I could wish for.
I can't wait, I just hope it's not full of snakes and bearded lizard's.
I am hoping I can pick up some good toys and supplies + see birds I would not see anywhere else.
Do they let you Handel any of the birds? I would love a chance to hold a macaw and get a few pictures with them.

Gah I live so far away from CA...why can't there be any here in the East Coast... I'm so jealous!

Thank you!!

The Lehigh Valley one is still extremely small. If you go go early because they close up earlier than the times given. The shelter has had a spot there the last two times.

There’s a large pet expo in Edison that usually has Dan there with a large area of his birds but it’s mostly just cats and dogs.
