Birds are weird

Do any of your birds talk or yell at their food? My macaw likes to put her head in her food dish, mumble,yell and sometimes make a sound like a really loud burp. Is my macaw just strange? I really try not to show her any attention for this but it is soooooo funny.

LOL, I would have a hard time keeping a straight face.
Bosley purrs and mumbles when he eats. He doesn't yell though.

Hahaha yes!! Fargo sometimes put his head in the food bowl and just starts mumbling, i laugh soo much, and said- dont talk with your beak full and he is like a little toddler who does things for attention, so he did it again

That doesn't necessarily mean your Macaw is strange. Lots of parrots have discovered that their food dishes can change the sound of their voices-- amplifying them, making them echo or just sound different-- and they like that.

Mango yells at food he doesnt like before he throws it out of his cage. His nemesis is broccoli, but he will also give spinach a piece of his mind if he finds it in one of his dishes. He will also occasionally yell at me for putting it in there if he catches me at it.

Fargo has one of those foraging balls which i fill with fruit for a treat, and when he has difficulties getting a piece out he starts to growl at it, he is just like 'why cant you just hand it to me in a bowl!!!' :09: :54:
