Black Capped Conure named Clover. Female
Hey All-

So my conure, Clover is showing signs of separation anxiety. I got a camera so I can watch her during the day while I’m at work. She is finally eating in her cage. She use to only eat when I’m around. Whenever I put her in the cage, she bites me and clings on to me. I even tried to get her off me using a perch, which she refuses. I have done everything to make her cage comfortable and fun. She did this also where I got her, but thought it was sweet. She is 11 months old. I play bird sounds while I’m away. My hours for work are normal. Maybe I give her too much attention. Does anyone have suggestions?

Thank you all so much!

So what your telling me is you have a loving conure that is totally into you.

Yep, that's what they do, it gets better. Then worse around 2yo then better again. Conures are the best, you just have to put up with them.

The Goffin cockatoo I had years ago did the same thing but worse- she was only happy when getting a full body massage! I don't know what to tell you other than to cover your hands with sweatshirt sleeves so you don't get injured. Others will probably have good advice.
