Blue Front Amazon
Hello, I'm a new member, i have recently got a 8 month old Blue Front Amazon and her name is Bella and she is such a joy, i got her Thanksgiving this year and she has already Bonded with me. She has her moods at times but she is my baby. She loves Oatmeal that was the food that i believe got her close to me, she is now to the point she is cuddling with me and she goes crazy to get to m when my husband and daughter has her. She is a great part of the family and believe it or not I have six cats and none of them bother her, they stay away. Im wanting to learn as much as possiable to make a great home for my new parrot.:green2:

Hey Angel and welcome to the forum.I'm kind of partial to amazons myself. Hope to "see" you around.

Hi and welcome, love to see pic

I have 3 cats that stay away from my birdie just like yours do. I think they might be afraid of him. It's kind of funny. I got Pyro Thanksgiving week too. :)

my Bella

I have several pics but most are on my phone, she is a trip... She purrs all the time and cry's like a real baby.. my sister got her for me and the lady that had her before me had a baby. she tries to talk and she does alot of mumbling and there are a few words you can understand but she sounds just like a girl. I am trying to get her use to water but she is not crazy about it Yet! But then again she is a baby... There is so much to learn and she is surprising me everyday...I love her so much and I am looking forward to a long life with her.

Max wasn't keen of showers, either, but now, when I ask if he wants a shower, he flies to me... I have to be naked, though... lol... otherwise he doesn't believe me...

Mr. Precious didn't enjoy water until about 7 months after I got him. He flew himself into the bathroom when I was in the shower & perched on top of the shower door & then hung upside down by one foot to try to get in. Ever since then he has loved showers. I always put him on the top of the door & leave it up to him whether he wants to get in with me or not. Some days he just sits up there & soaks up the steam while other days I can't seem to get him out of the shower.

Well I put her in the shower and sprayed her with the wand on a light mist and she did ok but I want her to look forward to the water. I know it will take time.
