Have you read a book that has proven invaluable and essential to you in caring for your birdie? Please recommend!
I have only one favorite so far. A bit of a classic by lafaeber. Not sure how great the other few are that I own. There seems to be a lot that is yet to be determined without a doubt, or controversial, about these fascinating little creatures with big personalities and keen instincts.

That looks great, thanks! I love that it’s got info about wild birds too. There must be a reason Barron became the standard. I’m not entirely impressed with their more recently published books that I’ve read. They’re light on details. Probably I chose the wrong books. This one looks good! Hard to come by a copy, but I found one. Thanks!

Likely only available in used condition, but still worth having as any of the recent books have picked segments and reprinted them and calling it their original work (Sad).

Look for the second addition, more artwork and information. Around $20.00 USD.

CPH was interesting to read with some nice stories especially on her Amazon taking part in a play and a cockatiel story but I don't think it was useful, in the strict sense of the word. Some of David Alderton s books are great too.

Glad to be of help. If you are looking specifically for Budgerigars. A book by Immanuel Birmelin , by Barrons is quite decent but it is not as broad or as deep as the book by Vriends.
