boy or girl, please help :) pic heavy

I have gotten a lot of different responses as to whether it is a boy or girl. the photos I am including have natural light as people have requested. I just brought home this budgie yesterday evening and he / she already seems to be fairly hand tame. I can easily take her out of the cage without her flying away and she seems content. she does have a vet visit on Monday, since I have brought her home I have cleaned her vent several times but every time she relieve herself fecal matter stay stuck as if she is having diarrhea. But her stools look solid I am Not sure what is going on but I would rather be safe than sorry. This is my first parakeet, and about 8 years. I used to own three of them but never did the researchto know what they were all about. Before I bought this one I had done tons of research for about a week before purchasing 1. Now I'm just trying to figure out if it is male or female. Like I said 50% have told me maLe and 50% have told me female I would like to find a name that fits this sweet budgie. please let me know what you guys think
please tell me why you think it is the gender you do also. It might give me details as to what to look for in person as pictures might have different coloration.
It is hard for me to tell based off of a chart because here cere is both blue and purple and kind of white... its hard for me to tell.

I'm not much of an expert and in young parakeets I think it's more difficult. With that said, I *think* I see a white ring around the nares and I would place bets on this one being a girl.

Either way she/he is adorable.

From the pics I believe you have a girl. The 2nd and 3rd pics (if accurate color) are a chalky light bluish white which would indicate female. The 4th and 5th pics are harder to tell. The first and last pic are not the best as they have a yellowish cast, but even then it looks like a female if I had to guess from those pics.

An albino (or dark eyed clear) male will have a solid color pinkish cere.

Years ago I had been told that for budgies you could tell the sex by the color of their nares/nose. Blue, bluish green is male, pink, flesh tone or white is female. Is it true you can tell their sex by the nare color?

You can... but it depends on the color mutation too. In most colors, mature males have a bright blue cere, but males of certain mutations have a light purple/pink cere. To my understanding, the females regardless of color mutation have the chalky whitish or light blue with chalky white when they're juvenile. If they come into breeding condition, females ceres turn brown.

my vote is also female, its a tricky on though cus the little rings around the nostrils are so well blended, but with a male it is a plain texture. also i seem to notice that female budgies have a more feminine figure around the head compared to males who have a more rigid structure, i notice the same things in cockatiels, maybe i was a bird in a past life lol. very pretty, i love the albino mutation. <3...for budgies at least lol.

she is actually not albino, she has extremely faint yellow on the top of her head and the tips of her wings and down towards the end of her tail. Plus her eyes are fully black. The one at the pet store had reddish eyes. From what I've been told she is not fully albino, if she is not fully albino does this change what you guys see as far as the possible sex

thank you all very much by the way I have been very confused. At this point though I am just focused on getting her to the vet today, although she appears to be acting normal she is still getting fecal matter stuck to her vent every time she relieves herself and I have to keep cleaning myself

There are other mutations besides "ino" (albino, lutino, creamino) that make a budgie the base color only, solid white or solid yellow.

The one you see most (though I don't think they're super common) is called DEC or Dark Eyed Clear. Same cere color rules would apply here as with albino. Allee has a white DEC too.

Crossing fingers for your vet visit. They will most likely need a fecal sample to analyze it for bacteria and parasites, so before you go, get as much fresh poop as possible collected (1/2 tsp) or so. Good luck !

I think the name Darla suits her well! She is such a little cutie.
