Budgie or Tiel buddy for my lady tiel???

Hi all, I feel so bad for my tiel being an only bird. So I was wondering if I should maybe get her a buddy, like another tiel or a budgie? What are your thoughts, I would love a little budgie, but I would rather get another tiel if its better to have 2 of the same birdies. I've had 2 tiels before and they were really almost inseperable, just curious if this is normally the case or was I just lucky? (PS: I have extra cages, but thinking of having them share one as she really only goes in to eat, cage open 24/7, has free run of house)

a tiel is always better. budgies inspite of being smaller can bully tiels around.

I agree with a 2nd tiel. The snuggliest bird we ever had was my mom's hand fed female tiel. She loved to snuggle up under chins and on shoulders under your hair. Enjoy what ever you decide
