1 BFA- Kiwi. Hatch circa 98', forever home with us Dec. 08'
Since Kiwi is no longer caged during the day, I've been meaning to make him a little 'bridge' so he can get from his cage/swing to his play tree without human assistance (Kiwi doesn't fly). I finally got that made:D I used all stainless hardware of course, and used these little "shackle" things to easily be able to connect/disconnect it so it can be secure but we can also move his big swing around without a rope perch dangling off it. Now he can go from his cage to his big swing to his play stand all he wants!

Shortly after I hooked it up, he seemed to know just what to do with it! Please forgive the mess:54:, it's 4pm on a friday and he's been a busy (i.e. messy) boy today!

how much long r u togher ?

Not quite sure I understand what your asking?

Are you asking how long I've had him? 6 1/2 years. He was already 10 years old when we got him though.

If you were asking how much the perch cost and how long to put together, it cost about $15 and took maybe 10 minutes to assemble (24 full hours for the glue I used to keep the rope in the end caps to fully dry).

Did that answer your question at all?

Great Job! It looks like Kiwi loves his bridge! I agree with Christinenc2000, he has a great view! Lucky Kiwi!

Very nice set up, April! I love Kiwi's play area!

Very nice! Where did you get the caps? They look different then PVC end caps.

I love Kiwi's play area! And what a gorgeous view he (and you) have:) Is it all wooded out there?

They are leg protectors for furniture legs. They happened to be in the same aisle right next to the rope at home depot. I didn't even think about PVC end caps actually:54:

Yes, we have a gorgeous picture window with a fabulous view of a little stream and lush woods that's totally 'impeded' by a certain someones cage and play stand---> :green:

At least Kiwi has an unobstructed view!

So this little rope bridge is proving to be a great success! He seems quite pleased to have full access to his play tree now:D I don't know why I didn't do this before now!
