This is a species of parrots I had never heard of before and now I am In LOVE with them. Look at their little tail danglies it's so cute!! just thought id share them.

What a beautiful little bird, Owlet! Thank you for sharing, I hadn't heard of them either! I was going to say it almost looks like a cross between a parrot and a bird of paradise - well they come from Indonesia so that's not a million miles removed :)
 
I’ve only seen photos of this bird but they are very cute! It’s amazing the different “looks” among parrot species: vampire parrots, racquet tail parrots, fig parrots, Quaker parrots, giant macaws, tiny parrotlets….

Where did you see this bird?
 
You know, I think the racquet feathers may buzz or roar when the parrot flies!
 
Beautiful! But I know Salty would make short work of those 2 little feathers. He is so hard on his big tail feathers as it is. Not plucking or over preening, just playing extremely rough with his hanging toys.
