buying pionus?

I am wondering about the advisability of buying a 3 year old white capped male pionus from a pet store -he has been there for 1 year and has regular beak and nail trims-I recognized the breeder who I think is ok-my parrot experience is limited to budgies and cockateils as a child- he seems a bit "cage aggressive" but stepped up and sat without problems on my hand-he comes with a health guarantee Thanks for any advise

The poor little guy probably has cabin fever! My wife and I have a little Maximillian Pionus and he is a sweet little man! We keep three species of Pionus all together and they are adorable!
The problem with cage agression will get better once he gets used to his new home. He's waiting for you with his little foot raised in anticipation...
