Cage Bar Spacing?

So, I have a grey IRN baby coming home in 6 weeks or so, and Im finding conflicting info on what is safe/ideal for IRNs. I have a brand new cage that size wise is perfect, but bar spacing in 3/4in. Is this too big for him? The breeder sort of hemmed and hawed about whether or not it would work for him, and Id like to have some time to find something else if it is too big.

3/4" is fine. I had an IRN in a cage with bar spacing just a tiny bit wider than 3/4" and now have a senegal in that cage.
