What do you all use to line to bottom of your parrot's play stand? My Ekkie is wanting to eat corn cob, and now he is chewing paper and I am afraid he is swallowing! Ahhh!!!

Printing ink and some chemicals in paper can be be "not good".

i line with news paper but nut does not chew on paper??

I use paper towels with not design printed on them because my sun conure loves to chew on news paper. I feel it would be just a little better if he swallowed that than all the ink.

What about using Puppy Pee Pads? They are usually just absorbent cotton with plastic backing.

I've been using plain paper towels, which he also loves to chew on. He doesn't chew on them on the bottom of the cage, but he does on his playstand. I've started weaving them in between the bars of his cages too, and he loooves to tear them up!

His previous owner used shredded newspaper as bedding, and it seems to have been okay for him. I've heard that newspaper ink is nontoxic, actually, although I couldn't back it up for sure.
