Cage Locks

Hi Folks!

New around here, so here's my first Newby Question!

What do you guys find best that works for cage locks to prevent your hookbill escape artists?

Cant help with that, my birds havent tried yet. I did already buy some locking D-rings for when that day comes though.

Can you post a link to the type of cage you have! There are a variety of things to use but it helps to know the specific application.

my bird is coming in a few weeks but i dont know yet. but mine is like a little lever that when locked is down and flip it up to unlock. when i get a chance ill take a pick for you. anyways. i think mine would wrk well. if yours escaoes just have some D rings ready like adinafloyd said. i have heard of people even using pad locks if all else fails :O hopefully it doesnt come to that for either of us

for my travel cage which is one of the smaller wire cages I use the heavy duty black binder clips that hold 1/4" to 1/2" or so of paper. Amazon.com: black binder clips

i use the little clips that comes with most of her toys. The little carabiner type things that have the little twist lock.
