Other then king cages, are there other cages that you would recommend for macaws?
I'm actually having trouble finding cages that look like they could handle a macaw, but to be honest I'm finding it hard to find large cages at all!

Have you checked out A&E and HQ cages??? I'm saving up to be a stainless steel cage for Willie right now as his is getting old, it's going on 8 years old. And he pretty much have wrecked a few spots on the cage.

I like cages from loveonthewing myself they only carry ones that are proven safe for birds plus they are super nice to work with just call them! They are a wealth of information.

No, we never heard from them, and they simply won't take our calls. I had the bright idea of checking her Facebook, to find out they didn't even spend any time on the weekend with him, like they told us (they just wanted one more day with him), they were sledding. They talked about where they were on the top of the mountain, enjoying the sunset. First snow was to much to resist I guess. They even talk about how great that freedom is to have nothing holding them back since the kids are grown up. So it makes it even harder to understand why they won't accept our calls. Last we heard they were going to drop him off in the morning on Sunday. My heart is totally broken right now and there's nothing I can do and I can't understand what they are doing. It looks to me like it has nothing to do with the love of their bird, from the outside, looking at that post.

However, this has proven to us that we really want a Mac. So I would like to find a cage
Being in canada seems to be limiting me on companies that will ship, and ones that will ship with reasonable pricing...

I stand by Expandable Habitats cages and they do ship to Canada. There is another thread I posted in regarding the really, really bad customer service I got from Love on the Wing and I will NEVER buy anything from them again.

Pervue Hendryx has some really nice XXL cages as well, that appear to be comparable to King's cages at a significant savings. Check out ebay. I saw a PH double macaw cage for about $650.00 yesterday...

Not everyone is going to agree with everything anyone says, it doesn't mean you can't participate due to someone disagreeing with you. At least you've given your side of the story and someone else can do the same. Whatever the OP or the reader decides is their own decision. And of course, everyone's opinion counts as long as it's civil.

Animal Environments stainless steel. The best I've ever seen. Then HQ but they don't make stainless. A & E but not strong enough for my Palms for sure! The guage bar they use is to small.
