CAGs abs house plants

I’m interested in getting some house plants but like anything else when you own a CAG you have to think it all the way through. Anyone have plants and how do your CAGs react with them?

Also what plants do you have?

I have various bird safe herbs like basil, thyme, mint, oregano and rosemary, but Peanut started going crazy playing in the soil and flinging it everywhere. Even though the soil is organic and I've read that birds can eat a little bit of soil that is pesticide and fertilizer free, I think she may have digested too much of it one day because the following morning she wasn't acting like her normal self. Could of been a coincidence, I don't know. But I removed all the plants anyway. If I were to put plants out again I would cover the soil with rocks and supervise her while she's playing with them. Even bird safe plants can cause issues if they eat too much of it.

Even if you find a safe plant, the dirt can be dangerous if ingested. Especially those containing fertilizers etc.

Have plants in bathroom.
Bella goes into one of the bathrooms by her self sometimes. She has never showed the slightest interest in the plants.

I wanted to do like a whole jungle themed thing on my porch with parrot safe plants, but she doesnt seem to be able to leave them alone. A nibble here and there would be fine, but when she gets going chomping on something she doesnt stop.

I have heard of a plant called a "Dumb Cane" AKA "the mother-in-law plant"
If you eat the leaf it makes your toung swell up so you can't talk.
Don't think that one would be good for parrots.

You can grow orchids. Those are safe !

I'm not into plants, but I'll have to ask my mom, because she is a nutcase about them/gardening in-general (she has an actual, wooden greenhouse that she bought as a kit, it's nuts, it looks like a cabin attached to the side of their house)...Her house has always been full of house plants since I was a little kid, and Jagger doesn't seem to bother them, and I'm sure they are bird-safe knowing my mom...But I have no idea what they are, lol..I'll find out...

****What I can say is that the only plants that I have in my house all over the place are different Succulents, and none of the birds have ever even noticed them or bothered them one bit (they are all fully-flighted and all over the house every day)...I think it's because they don't really look like "plants" at all, and they just don't bother them or go near them...And they are all okay to eat, I don't have any toxic ones, most of the chicks and hens, the jovibara, and the smaller, more colorful warm-climate succulent species are fine to eat and people actually cook with them, so you might try that...
