I don't see why not, birds like water to keep their feathers in good shape. My birds love the shower. I would ease him into it though if he's never had one, and don't put him in face first so he doesn't get water in his nose or mouth accidentally. I just hold mine under slow running water in the sink and let them figure it out lol. They usually start by playing with the water and then they will take a shower
I cup my hands beneath a slow flowing faucet-tap, and let it dribble onto the bird gently below. Also use mister. She does not mind either, and if it has been too long without a bath (it's in the 90's right now in NYC), she'll dunk herself in her water bowl.
