a friend found this parrot & isn't sure what sort it is can anyone help

It looks like a Green Cheek Conure to me, but I'm new to the parrot world... I'm sure that somone else can provide a more definitive answer.

I agree it is a GCC. Someone must be missing this bird. Please go to 911 parrot alert and craigs list and put little birdie as found on there and the owner may see the ad. Thanks.

That is a little green cheeked conure. They are so cute and have a pretty good talking ability, although it's not as loud as other conures. They are a "large bird personality" in a little body.

Thanks everyone for the help. I'm in australia so that site wouldn't be of any help to the owners so will have to find out if I can find a site here. It seems my friend has decided to keep the bird stupid I know not much I can do though, but I was reading up & you have to have a licence to own a Green Cheek Conure here in oz, she'll get a hefty fine if caught with the bird so maybe I should see if I could find out if anyone in her area is registered to own one?

ok I've talked my friend into finding the owner & I called & found out u don't need a licence so I guess all she can do is try & find owner herself pity she went & got the poor birds wings clipped
