We just got a Catalina Macaw and she is 3 months old. She smells really bad. I gave her a bath and she still smells. I went to the local pet store and purchased a bird bath spray and she still smells. I don't know what else to do. She was in a dirty cage so perhaps she just needs to air out. Does anyone have any suggestions???

Thank You
Michelle

Its her feathers/skin. I don't see any open wounds however the smell is not as bad today as it was yesterday. Perhaps just some good ole natural airing out will do... But she is so loveable and I want to play with her but cant get too close...lol

I thought about using some skin so soft but not sure if its good for birds like it is for cats and dogs.

Have you had her to the vets? Sometimes yeast infections and giardia infection can cause this.
