So with the possibility of a macaw coming home in the next few months, possible a little longer, I decided to change up the setup. I moved all the little ones to one side of the room and added more hanging toys. I still want to get my foam mats and make another play area in the middle of the room. I also want to add stands on top of the cages with some kind of mat so they aren't pooping on each others heads...

They are by the window but a blanket to keep any chill off works fine and my room stays very warm with the heater and reptile heating elements.

The conures also have new tents and toys again!

I just fed them after they were in carriers for awhile since I was steam cleaning everything...acted like they hadn't ate in days instead of hours.

Folger boy wondering what I think I'm doing moving his cage!

Fosters moved to the other side of the TV where I'll probably stick the macaw if he comes home...lots of room for a big cage right there...

Around where the heater is where I want to do the middle of the room play area for more of a macaw sized bird...though I'm sure the little ones will claim it no problem themselves when they are out.

WOW Victoria! It looks GREAT!! So organized, neat and clean!!! :D Love it!

Now I wonder what red bird you're speaking of..... :54: ;) That is SO awesome that you'll be getting him.

Thanks:D The whole steam cleaning thing took forever but worked wonders on that java stand! I never thought that was coming clean again but it looks new again:eek: I do think Folger thought I was going to steam him for dinner or something along those lines...his face the whole time:52:

I'm definitely a little in love with Red already and want to sneak him home but the reasons for not being able to take him home now are very valid and I shall be patient! It is funny though since I spent 2 years just walking by him like everyone else. For awhile I didn't even realize there was a macaw named Red out there:20: Now he clings to the front of the cage and steps down onto my hand when I open the door. Or when he is on a stand he puts his head down so I can kind of cup his head (covering his eyes and everything...I was very surprised the first time he let me do it!) and scratch around the neck area on both sides at the same time:D
