Cheating with the training?

Can I play a recording of me whistling and saying the phrases I want him learn?
If so, he can be learning while I'm at work.
Will this work? His cage is right next to the pc, so I can play a recording and loop it so it plays every hour.
Im still waititng on my copy of "Parrots for Dummies" to arrive.

Many a person tried that method and most of them failed, you can try it though it might just work for ya!!! Good luck on the training, im having a tough time trying the training, this one is really stuck up!!!

You can try it, it may work, I find that with that method they tend to talk when your out of the room and go quiet when you come back in. Each and every parrot is so different and until you try it out, there's no real hard rules one way or the other. It may be nice for him to hear your voice throughout the day while you are at work, I leave the radio on for my guys when I go out. Just for company. But then I'm a bit dippy.
