Hi everyone i brought a chilli plant today it has red yellow and white chilli's on it, i gave Mylah a little bit of the red one and she loved it :-) just a question is it safe to give her the whole chilli or do i have to remove the seeds? and are the other colours ok, i'm pretty sure they will be as they are on the same plant but just wanted to make sure, also i got a jar of baby food today its a mixed fruit one does anyone else give the eclectus jar baby food as a treat?? thanks :-):red1:

The stems may be problematic, but the fruit and seeds are fine.

Just make sure the baby food is organic with no added sugars and it should be fine, and remember...refrigerate after opening :)

I feed the whole plant fruit & all. My birds delight in chewing the leaves stems & eating the fruit & seeds. They get chillies everyday.

I only use the jars of baby food when i am feed formula to chicks. To 1 cup of formula i would only add a teaspoon of fruit from the jar.

I don't use it for the older eclectus. I prefer to use other foods as treats such as nuts.

i just got her a jar that has mango passionfruit in it as she loves it but i can't afford to buy them fresh here as mangos are very expensive it wont be a lot i just thought as a treat she has everything else fresh, shes loves her food :-)
