Hi everyone! I just realized Christmas is literally in 2 days and I have only bought a few toys for each of my birds! I am so upset with myself. I was going to go to the petstore and pick some up but I’m not all that into supporting chain petstores for a variety of different reasons. Are there any recommendations that you have? I can’t overnight order them because that’s very expensive as I’m sure you know. I really wanna get it make them some toys. If you can, could you leave a few links to some nice toys I can make for them? I seriously feel so bad that I forgot to get them more.

I assure you your parrots care not one iota about Christmas. They have no concept of holidays or gift giving. Nor will they be offended if they only get a 'couple' toys each or even nothing at all. I'm sure what you already got them will be fine:)

I just wrapped a millet spray for Ollie and he will be thrilled to have a WHOLE MILLET SPRAY on Christmas while we unwrap our gifts. Earlier in the month I did decorate his play stand in a festive manor which I considered an early gift.

Remi's christmas present (I've heard) will be a few sprigs of bottlebrush flowers - her favourite. I'm sure she'll have more fun helping everyone else open THEIR presents.

Porter always gets bits and pieces of the wrapping paper
(Tissue paper undyed; and newspaper)
All balled up with treats inside. Pieces of cut up cardboard and such in little baskets that ONLY come out at christmas.

And each get a small construction paper cone of different seeds, nuts and other goodies they don't get during the rest of the year.
(Fatty sunflowerseeds, pinenuts, slivered walnuts... and so on.))
