Cinnamon Green owner here, my little one makes my heart swell so big.

I thought it was about time to sign up and introduce myself after lurking for a year.

I am the proud mamma to a 1 year old Cinnamon Green Cheek named Polly (yeah I know...original, lol). He is truly been a blessing beyond belief. We knew when we got him that he would be a welcome addition, but sitting here today I could have never imagined what a joy he is to have as part of our family.

I'm a stay at home mom in our family of 5 humans, so I get to spend a lot of time with him. He is great with the entire family but we seem to have a special bond. His "hatch date" was March 20, 2011 so he's just over a year old. The little guy couldn't even climb easily in his cage when we brought him home, he was so clumsy!

I knew birds were smart, but I was NOT prepared for the intelligence of our Polly. He's smart, funny, outgoing, loving, comical and bold.


He was never around any other birds and was hand hatched and hand raised. He thinks he is a human!

Thanks for this board/forum, I'm sure I'll be asking for lots of advice in the future and I love all I can learn here.
