My Green Cheek Conure has been shedding circular pieces of dandruff, and I was wondering if this was normal or if it's a problem. Please tell me! (sorry for bad image quality, lol.)

does she happen to have any pin feathers? could be a sheath that's just coming off in perfect little circles for some reason instead of flaking

He does have pin feathers, but its almost all the time that this happens. It's really strange because my Goffin's Cockatoo doesn't shed pin feathers like that

No, I meant like dandruff from thickened skin around the feather follicles. You would get that same shape anyway.

But actually I think it’s the end of the feather sheath rubbing off in little circles, as was first suggested, from larger wing and tail feathers.

That best explains how thick the circles are, and the size relative to your fingertip.
