To all greys owners listed African greys and timneh are now officially cites 1 listed birds not sure about pet owners but breeders would need to list there birds.

I was once involved in a group which did captive breeding of a Cites 1 finch, pursuant to reintroducing it into its native Venezuelan territory. In that project, everybody who bred OR owned a finch had to list, but...
I can't imagine the landslide of paperwork that would result from requiring the same from Greys! The finches were rare and not widely kept. Surely that won't happen!
 
It mite do think more aimed at breeders than people with pets I had to buy my DYHA with cites 1 paperwork think it will take a few years to have it working
 
How does one go about listing/registering their birds?
 
As far as I'm concerned it dosant start till next year I wouldn't worry too much coz it would only effect you if you selling your bird av a look on world parrot society
 
When going through the CITES Appendix 1, I discovered that Blue Throated Parakeets aka Blue Throated Conures are already on the list!!
 
That video of those poor helpless Greys made me CRY! :17: Those poor poor things!

Could you please reference where it says breeders have to list or register their birds? I haven't read that.
