This the new cage that I order for my parrot ....I hope it is big enough for him...





Also the vet told me that he is molting and gave me a bottle that contain some liquid to add it with water every day, it helps for growing feathers ,also a bar of calcium to put it in the cage.... any other suggestion for molting?????

Do you have any toys for him?? All birds that live in our homes need lots of toys and they should be rotated. Sorry, I think the cage is nice but not big enough for a Congo grey. I will show you a photo of mine. You should have some natural safe perches or the rope kind so bird can get some exercise. I know all of this cost money but it is part of being a guardian for a companion bird.

Yes, that cage is meant more for a cockatiel or lovebird, but not big enough for an African Grey.

thanks SB for your suggestions. But here in my country I have been to more than five pet shops and I didn't find stuff that is related to parrots...So I am planning to order them by net ...

I bet there are baby toys. Infant keys, blocks, etc. Just make sure he can't tear them up & swallow. I use alot of baby toys for merlin.

I think this video is a good one to show you how simple toys can be made out of every day items you may have in your home. Do you have craft stores? Do you have second hand shops where you can see baby toys and clean them? There is no limit to what a grey would love to destroy. Roll up a treat in a coffee filter.

hello everybody thx for all the suggestions...is there any suggestion for molting..what to do, how can i help...the stuff i need to know when my bird is in molting period...

RM I do not remember the specific measurements of Rosie's cage but it is very large. It is an avian adventure cage.

Molting: It is grumpy time for the bird. They are not comfortable and need a boost in nutrition (protein and calories) because it takes a huge amt. of energy to grow new feathers. It can also take several months to complete. A major most is when the tail and wing feathers renew themselves. Rosie is in one right now. Feather everywhere! I suggest you look up on line and read about molting and broken blood feathers.
