Come on! Wanna play ball?!

I’ve been playing ball for about half an hour every evening with our GW for the last week or so.
The routine is I roll a plastic ball on her playtop and call to her “Come on” “Go get it”.
She fetches the ball and brings it back usually dropping it into my hands ready for the catch.

Tonight, while I was preparing diner, she was on top of her cage, holding up the ball with one foot and looked at me and blurted out “Come on! Come on!”

I just cracked up laughing!!! Life with a macaw is full of wonderful surprises isn’t it?

Yes it is.

Both my macs, and one of my amazons play wiffle ball. In fact, my amazon can catch a wiffle ball with either foot, or her beak.

They don't always give it back in one piece, however. Sometimes, catch turns into a game of keep away... (That's usually Sweepea.)

Either way, there's almost always laughter involved.

Yes, going to have to anticipate these moments and have my phone close by.
