Can you put a Solomon Island Male and Vosmaeri Female together? Thanks...

To pair up for breeding? I have heard that mixing solomon and vosmaeri eclectus together can cause genetic problems and a lot of people aren't very fond of mixing the sub species together as the “pure breed” ekkies seem to be harder to come by now days.

I guess you CAN put them together, wether or not you should depends on who you ask.

No, because of the chance of breeding.

That's called hybridization, which is frowned apon in most societies.

If you want them to keep each other company just put the cages next to each other, that way there is no chance of breeding but they won't be lonley.
