A friend of mine has acquired 4 birds now over the last 6 months. She has 3 conures and a Jenday. Her first bird was a GCC named Ginger. This bird was the biggest snuggler and lover you ever saw UNTIL now. Her 2nd bird she picked up was a cagemate for ginger, a male named who was not handfed or handled and is rather spooked. Well those 2 fight alot from what I hear and now Ginger is rather mean. She tries to bite anyone that comes near the cage except for one of their daughters who holds her religiously. I am concerned that Ginger might be getting this way due to both being caged with another conure and or that cagemate just fighting with her. I dont own any conures so I dont know their behavior. Any thoughts?

I just want to make sure she's not in danger. She has 3 cages, the Jenday has his own, their sun conure has his own, then the other 2 listed above share one.

you should have your friend seperate them asap the one may never be a pet but he will spoil your ginger if you leave her in with him; and she may take along time to forgive you putting her in what she feels was a bad situation. Get seperate cages soon all I'll say.

Yes, definitely separate them. They could hurt each other and Ginger will become meaner as time goes on. She probably prefers people anyway.
It is dangerous to cage them together. They could be together on neutral terrirtoy to play but not cage mates.
