conure nipping

I have a 6mth old girl green cheek. She knows the command step up and has been doing it with out any trouble. But now she nips me all the time and will not step up. I have tried ignoring her and tapping her on the beak. Nothing works .

Tapping on the beak is not effective for a bird.
It's also not fair.

Does she have enough toys? Do you spend enough time with her outside of the cage? My gcc is 6 months and he gets nippy when I haven't spent enough time with him.
I practice ladder exercises when he needs it.

She has a play gym and she spends all day out side of her cage as she only goes in her cage at night. She has toys and balls to play with. She spends a lot of time with me and my husband.
