Conure toys: Materials

Hey there,

I was just looking around on etsy and some other sites, and was wondering why the heck i'm paying so much money for toys when I could be making them myself!

What sorts of materials would be safe for me to use, and where might I get them?

If you make your parrots toys, then I'd love to see some of your creations!
