This morning I noticed Callie's beak had some red marks, and it looks like they're under her beak. Should I be worried about infection? Has she just been banging or scraping her beak too much? I did notice that in one of the areas where the discoloration was her beak seemed to be scraped a little thin. Pictures of the discoloration are included. Any help or advice is appreciated.

It looks like it could be a bruise. If it is, there isn't anything you can do for it. A bruise in the beak will just grow out of it as the beak grows over the next few weeks/months.

Munch bruised her beak as a baby when she got her beak stuck in the cage bars. It goes away.

Have you ever bruised a finger nail? It stays but grows out as the nail grows. Birds beaks are the very same.

If she seems in pain though (pay attention to her appetite, signs of lethargy, etc) then a vet visit would be needed for pain medication. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much.

If It starts spreading and the beak gets a bit flaky in those areas, then you may want to go to the vet to check for a fungal infection in the beak.
