Holy Jesus, I think in the original post the OP said huge, when in fact they meant titanic or gargantuan, I cooked a 1/2 batch for 2 parakeets, and have the fixings for the other half, and for about $15 I have enough chow for probably 3 months or more, think about that hard when you consider the bother of about an hour to handle food for your birds, on a per teaspoon basis this is as healthy and infinitely less expensive that most commercial blends, and assuming the feather babies don't like it, it's a solid side dish for us too, a cornish game hen and a bag of this recipe would make a fine meal!

Based on the OP, I'm guessing she had a large flock?

I've never made this recipe. Did your birds like it?

Today is the first day trying it, they rejected it outright this morning, but after sprinkling some of the normal pellet on top they have been spending a good bit of time doing something involving the food dish, lots of what appears to be chewing, and I'm not hearing the telltale crunch of pellets being eaten, so I can't help but think they have decided it is edible and not poisonous lol
